Arcadia SSC is part of All for Smiles Ability Services. Our goal is to work collaboratively with the client and their support team to attain the best outcomes with their NDIS funding by linking with them with the appropriate supports which meet their disability needs and are realistic for their support network to implement.
Practice Leader / Specialist Support Coordinator
Georgie provides specialist support coordination for NDIS participants involved in the Justice System, many of whom are high-risk offenders on interim detention or supervision orders under the Serious Offenders Act 2018. Georgie has experience working collaboratively with stakeholders to effectively implement disability supports, ensuring the clients functional impairments resulting from their disability are being addressed whilst minimising risks to the client and the community.
“Having observed the high rate of offenders with neurodevelopmental and psychosocial disabilities, I think it is critical for NDIS supports to work collaboratively with the Justice System to support the client to transition back safely into the community, minimise the risk of recidivism and enable the participant to develop their independent living skills and improve their overall quality of life” - Georgie
Operations Manager / Specialist Support Coordinator
Shannon has been working in the disability sector for over 10 years, four of which have been as a Support Coordinator/Specialist Support Coordinator. Shannon has worked in London and Australia in multi-disciplinary therapy teams. She is known for her work with adults with complex diagnoses who have high-risk behaviours of concern and clients with psychosocial disabilities such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Shannon works with many high risk young offenders with disabilities and long term history of unstable housing placements. Shannon works with the client and their care team to develop effective plans to increase the clients self determination and control over their life as they enter adulthood and as child service systems close service.
“I find meaning and value working with our most vulnerable community members and believe strongly that everyone should be able to take ownership of their supports and lives. I have observed the instability in many of our clients lives resulting from ongoing placement changes which leads to the breakdown of therapeutic and direct support services and impacts the clients ability to reach their goals. I aim to build strong connections with clients and their communities to achieve long term positive changes for the individual as well as the wider systems." - Shannon
